Pen, Bardella, Ciotti, Maréchal, and Zemmour is limited to envisioning a 
France without immigrants or Muslims. The situation across the Rhine 
with the AfD (Alternative for Germany) is entirely different. It 
involves a different *Weltanschauung*-a different worldview-and a return 
to a true "German-ness." ---- To be convinced of this, one need only 
look at their platform. Just as the US far right did with "Project 
2025"-which it is now actively implementing-the AfD has published 
exactly what it intends to do in Saxony-Anhalt. The news site *Le Grand 
Continent* published the seventeen points of this plan. Let us focus on 
just a few.

Family and children come first. Children must be protected, and support 
services expanded. "Abortion must remain a criminal offense!" "More 
family, less state!" "Thriving families make school social services 
unnecessary."

Regarding immigration and "remigration": "measures aimed at ending 
illegal, culturally alien, and hostile immigration... launching an 
offensive for deportation and remigration is imperative. A return 
program for skilled Germans who have emigrated."

Regarding scientific research, the AfD acknowledges that "German science 
is in the midst of a profound crisis."[...]This decline began with the 
student revolt of 1968. Consequently, German science has lost its 
authenticity.[...]The AfD[...]will free German science from its own 
limitations through fundamental reforms."

Internal security: "Due to the crackdown on anti-Covid-19 protests, a 
large segment of the population views the police as the instrument of an 
increasingly repressive state.[...]We will therefore increase state 
police staffing to at least 7,500 sworn officers."

Culture and integration: the AfD intends to launch "a 'deutschdenken' 
(thinking German) campaign, highlighting Saxony-Anhalt's significant 
contribution to the development of the German nation. Soldiers fallen in 
battle gave their lives to defend their country. Recognizing and 
honoring this great sacrifice is a first sign of a resurgence in 
patriotism."

Regarding democratic and civic life across the country: "Dissenting 
opinions are discredited and labeled anti-democratic.[...]Political 
correctness, cancel culture, 'wokeism,' and the dictates of 'rainbow 
ideology' are establishing a veritable dictatorship of 
opinion.[...]Anyone who criticizes mass immigration, foreign-perpetrated 
crime, or multiculturalism risks persecution."

Regarding its platform in Saxony-Anhalt: for "any association seeking 
institutional or project-based funding derived from taxpayer 
money...[there must be]a credible commitment to the democratic order and 
the adoption of a patriotic stance."

One could go on and on...

The result is clear: the AfD has won its gamble. It has more than 
doubled its vote share. 44% of the state's residents voted for the 
party. Voter turnout saw a sharp increase. It is just four seats short 
of an absolute majority. Given the refusal of the traditional parties, 
the BSW-which holds five seats-remains. It is difficult to categorize 
this party using our standard criteria. It was founded by a defector 
from *Die Linke*, Sahra Wagenknecht, who managed to give it her own 
name: *Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht* (Alliance Sahra Wagenknecht). It is a 
party that is left-wing, socialist, nationalist, anti-immigration, and 
"woke."
