Progressive Prosperous Labor Union (SBPS) condemns the layoffs of
Employment (PHK) or layoff, carried out by PT Safelock Medical in

relationship between the union and the company for the past 6 months.

Safelock Medical Klaten against SBPS officials and members. This

processes carried out by the company did not use a clear mechanism in
accordance with the provisions of the Industrial Relations Dispute
Resolution.
This dismissal of workers by the company is suspected to be the result
of the union's struggle to request bipartite negotiations to resolve the
issue of unilateral dismissal of members and transfers. The company has
stupidly not provided any pillars for the union to conduct bipartite
mediation on the current case.
Therefore, SBPS demands:
Stop the practice of transfers carried out by the company to SBPS union
members and officials, and also appoint all SBPS union members and
officials as workers with the status of Indefinite Term Work Agreement
(PKWTT). In short: appoint the workers as permanent factory workers.
the management of PT Safelock Medical Klaten is required to re-employ
SBPS members and managers whose contracts were unilaterally terminated
and stop the practice of suppression and guarantee a climate of
unconditional freedom of union. In short: rehire the 10 laid-off workers.
SBPS union members have gone on strike on December 3 and 4, 2024, then
stopped it for further negotiations. SBPS has threatened to escalate the
strike on Saturday, December 7, 2024 if demands are not met. The
Director of PT Safelock Medical Dressings is Park Seong Hun and The
Commissioner Is Kwak Moon Kyu. Shares of PT Safelock Medical Dressings
are also owned by PT Safelock Medical where the management and
shareholders are five South Korean citizens:

Kwak Moon Kyu, Director,
Lee Jun, Director,
Lee Kwang Hee, President Commissioner,
Hyeyeon Yoon, Commissioner, and
Ismi Kushartanto, Commissioner.
