ourselves creatively together. The goal is a joint publication on the
topic of community. ---- The following questions, for example, can be
addressed on this topic: Why do we need (more) community? What are the
problems and frustrations we have encountered in our search for
community? How does our personal position influence our relationship to
community(s)? What might an anarchist critique of community or
individuality look like?
We will try to approach the topic in a variety of ways. These can be
political texts, short stories, poems, collages, paintings or
illustrations, comics, or any other art form. Completion is more
important to us than completeness. We advocate for quick and imperfect
decisions; we want to work with what's available on-site that evening.
We will provide some questions and suggestions for writing texts, and we
will also have materials for collages and paintings available on-site.
Of course, you are welcome to bring your own materials and tools.
The room will be open from 6:00 PM, and the event will begin at 6:15 PM
and last approximately two hours. The event is free of charge; there
will be no food, but hot and cold drinks will be available for purchase
on-site. You can also bring your own food and drinks. The Black Pigeon
(Scharnhorststraße 50, 44147 Dortmund) is wheelchair accessible. The
lecture/workshop will be held in spoken German; whispered interpretation
into English is available upon request. Please notify us of your needs
in advance by emailing agdo@riseup.net. From the main train station, the
town can be reached by subway (Hafen stop, U47 Westerfilde or U49 Hafen).
