Some time ago, meeting with comrades from other parts of the Iberian 
Peninsula-I'm writing these lines from Iberia-they discussed how their 
various organizations were evolving throughout the different strategic 
areas. Their reflections, assessments, and lessons, ultimately, 
resonated deeply with me. We're talking about places where historical 
and political tradition has always held a strong hold on Anarchism. In 
my case, writing these lines from Western Andalusia, I feel that the 
revolutionary, the libertarian, has been dead, scorched by the flames,

In other parts of the country-see Granada, Madrid, Alicante, Catalonia, 
Galicia...-there was a critical consciousness sufficiently formed to 
develop organization, debates, and a constructive will that would 
transgress the countercultural, to fully embark on the political feat of 
the project of a New World.

In my city, meanwhile, there isn't even a CNT. There's only a certain 
punk movement, that is, misinterpretations of anarchism as synonymous 
with chaos, anti-everything-not antidotes, these home remedies being 
sometimes worse than the disease-and little else.

Of course, there's no shortage of Spanish flags, job insecurity, 
Spaniards being very Spanish and very Spanish, touristification, rents 
above the means of an average wage... Needless to say, we need an 
organizational and combative spirit capable of conquering the People's 
Power we deserve, instead of constantly playing against capital, 
improvising on the fly without resources, seeking to conquer the skies 
without planning, and allowing ourselves to be fooled by politicians 
fighting over crumbs from a cake they won't even eat.

It's better not to even mention the so-called leftist movements that 
pretend to be The True Left-this time, for real™. Well, most of them are 
dedicated to following the current leadership or personality-or various 
personalities-seeking to poison people with long-winded sophistic 
speeches that serve more to confuse you than anything else.

The situation is certainly not the best in the world, but the field is 
ripe for planting, watching it grow, and harvesting. If we don't do it 
from the libertarian left, the reactionary right will end up doing it.

That's why, when I read that comrades from Eastern Andalusia, that rich 
land of our common roots in Al-Andalus, the influences of the Alhambra, 
and the unique strength of its people, are taking giant strides along a 
path of a billion steps and hundreds of thousands of steps, I can't help 
but smile, feel joy, and see how the spirit of the revolution advances 
today more than yesterday. Today more than ever.

Health, strength, and success, comrades. Because yesterday you were, 
today we are, because today we are; tomorrow you will be.
