Socialist Organization (OSL) held its third session, concluding its 
first congress. Dozens of activists from the Southeast, Central-West, 
South, and North regions of Brazil were present. In the first two 
sessions, in 2023 and 2024, in addition to the founding of the OSL 
itself, we made progress on a series of issues, including principles, 
general strategy, political formation, and internal organization. In 
this third session, we made significant progress in discussing the 
medium-term situation, establishing an in-depth analysis of the 
international and Brazilian scenarios over the last four decades, as 
well as our strategic lines of action for unions, communities (urban and 
rural), and students.

Overall, it can be said that the 1st ConOSL was a significant and 
decisive step forward, demonstrating the importance not only of 
political and programmatic unity, but also of an organizational 
environment marked by seriousness and militant commitment.

We will soon release the Medium-Term Situation Analysis document 
produced based on the analyses and debates that led to the conclusion of 
our congress. At this time, we are making available excerpts from the 
opening speech of the third congress session and also the greetings we 
received from other organizations around the world.

CONGRESS OPENING GREETING

Today, as we begin the third and final session of this first Congress, 
we reaffirm our commitment to struggle and collective construction. This 
is not just a space for debate, but a fundamental milestone in the 
consolidation of our organization as a tool for the emancipation of the 
working class.

Our first Congress had a clear objective: to lay the foundations of our 
structure so that, in the coming period, we could consolidate ourselves 
as a revolutionary organization. We knew from the outset that this 
moment would require the work of public affirmation and identity 
building among other organizations and militant sectors of the class 
struggle. We recognized that, in this first cycle, we would not have the 
political, material, or theoretical conditions to act as direct 
protagonists in the struggles-but this was only the beginning.

The Path Taken

In the two previous sessions, we took decisive steps:

In the 1st Session, we established our identity, our principles, and our 
general strategy that guide our actions;
In the 2nd Session, we advanced in political formation and the Organic 
Charter, resolving issues of internal structuring and decision-making 
mechanisms, always with an eye toward social transformation. Now, two 
years after our founding-after overcoming the initial excitement and the 
wear and tear of this new process of (re)construction-the time has come 
to look at the real world, analyze the conditions of struggle, and 
outline the strategic lines that will take us forward.

Our Current Situation

We can proudly say that we kept the organization running, even with 
redoubled efforts from the coordination and with activists taking on 
multiple tasks. We never interrupted our work: we issued notes, 
developed analyses, and actively participated in the struggles.

Our Achievements

We made an organizational leap, actively participating in struggles;
We consolidated our theoretical line, applying anarchism to the analysis 
of the current situation;
We put down roots, something fundamental for a long-term project.
This Congress is not an end, but a starting point. May we leave here not 
only with resolutions, but with the revolutionary determination of those 
who know that history is made by the hands of those who dare to change it.

Dear comrades,

The Anarchist Communist Federation (ACF) of Australia welcomes with 
great satisfaction the founding of the Libertarian Socialist 
Organization (LSO). The Libertarian Socialist Organization is a major 
step forward in actively forming a national anarchist political 
organization in Brazil. This is especially true given that the OSL is 
the result of three decades of building especifismo in your country and, 
more broadly, in Latin America.

Some of us have been following the developments in anarchist and 
especifist communist formations and their activities in Brazil for 
several years, as well as their journey toward building a single 
anarchist political organization, aiming to reach all regions of Brazil.

Like the OSL, the Australian Anarchist Communist Federation is a very 
recent organization, having been launched on May 1, 2025. The Meanjin 
Communist Anarchists (ACM), the Geelong Communist Anarchists (GAC), and 
the Melbourne Anarchist Communist Group (MACG) became the founding 
branches of our Federation. We have been in dialogue for over four 
years, discussing our political work, advising, and cooperating whenever 
possible. This process has allowed us to develop our skills and capacity 
for more in-depth collective work, including successful conferences in 
2024 and 2025.

Like you, we formed the Anarchist Communist Federation because we want 
to be effective. That's why we demand a high level of theoretical and 
practical agreement among our members. If we can't reach agreement, we 
can't work together. And if we can't be specific and determined in that 
work, we will waste our revolutionary energy.
Like you, we also advocate for organizational dualism, that is, 
anarchists working in popular movements (at the social level) and also 
in specific political organizations (at the political level).

We want to overthrow capitalism. If we are organized, we can use our 
position to overturn the old order and liberate ourselves. Together, we 
can build a world where we control our labor and ensure that every 
person's needs are met. With this in mind, we analyze social oppression 
through the lens of class struggle. No form of oppression can be 
eradicated without ending capitalism, and capitalism cannot be abolished 
as long as the working class remains divided. That is why we say: 
"Affect one, affect all."

To change society, we need a revolution. There is no legal path to 
socialism. Capitalists will not allow themselves to be simply voted out. 
This shapes the methods we use to organize and the strategies we employ.

Therefore, we salute this tremendous advance of organized anarchism in 
Brazil!

Dear comrades,

We send you our greetings and best wishes for the success of your 
congress. Each congress marks a milestone in the life of an 
organization, especially a newly founded one. Therefore, we are 
delighted to celebrate this moment. The task you have undertaken is 
difficult. It would already be so in "normal" times, but the particular 
period we are living in makes it especially difficult.

The national and international configurations we face are not entirely 
new, but they produce unprecedented (or renewed) situations. The 
dynamics are intensifying. As various elements of the status quo crumble 
internationally, attacks against our class are escalating nationally. 
Dehumanization is advancing at a dizzying pace. The very notion of human 
worth seems on the brink of extinction. The idea of equality, even in 
its most basic conception, is in danger of being reduced to nothing.
Technofascism is about to cross a threshold. Perhaps it already has. It 
already outlines the contours of a postmodern absolutism and servility. 
We are beyond nostalgia for the military dictatorships of the 20th 
century. Techno-billionaires already see themselves as monarchs. They 
openly call for a world of new "city-states." Libertarians (liberals) no 
longer advocate stateless capitalism or a purely regulatory state. They 
want their companies to become the state.

We will have to face unprecedented contradictions. We will need to be 
prepared to analyze both the old and the new. In this sense, we face two 
main risks:

1. Failing to see something new, because we are trapped in automated 
reasoning.
2. Failing to perceive what persists, adapts, and develops, if we 
discard all our tools under the pretext that they are no longer useful 
for understanding a new reality. We may see forces converging among our 
enemies that apparently do not share the same goals. This convergence 
may even require the complete abandonment of the traditional objectives 
of one sector or another. Among our adversaries, we may also observe 
resistance to assimilation or abandonment. Therefore, there is still a 
risk of misinterpreting these dynamics, should they manifest.

We will have to redouble our firmness and lucidity. We will need to 
prevent the co-optation of popular elements by any struggles that some 
enemy sectors may wage for their own survival.

More than ever, the enemy of my enemy will not necessarily be my friend.

This does not mean that a new "republican front" is impossible. But it 
will only be viable with advanced and deeply rooted conceptions of 
equality. We will likely have to wage a fierce ideological struggle over 
equality and fundamental rights, in addition to our general programmatic 
conceptions.

"The freedom of others, far from being a limitation on mine, is, on the 
contrary, its necessary condition and its confirmation."

This phrase by Bakunin resonates today with renewed force. Every attack 
on the humanity of a specific group is a threat of annihilation for us 
all. Every limitation of the rights of a particular group risks plunging 
almost all of humanity into postmodern servility.

Equality and rights are at the center of their war. Their new 
absolutism, to emerge, must eradicate them completely. We must find ways 
to articulate the universalism of the struggles of the so-called 
"minorities." Some sectors of progressivism and the left strive to 
atomize the various categories of those at the bottom-sometimes to avoid 
confronting the status quo, sometimes to claim a kind of "revolutionary 
leadership" in the name of representing this or that identity, a new 
vanguard produced by attempts to save the theological mechanism.

The mentality of non-governmental organizations has replaced elements of 
the classical conception of social classes. Previously, an agent 
disciplined by the machine was needed to lead the revolution. Now, those 
who suffer the most have the "right" to be the new pawn. Each party 
disputes how to measure the suffering of the various agents.

Our task will be especially difficult. It is not, of course, about 
erasing the specific realities of domination and exploitation of the 
various oppressed groups. It is about halting fragmentation and 
rebuilding unity. Perhaps we also need to find ways to bring 
universalism to the surface in each particular situation. Bakunin has 
already given us, perhaps, one of the keys to the solution.

We have already said too much. We regret not having elaborated these 
reflections more clearly-they are still in process, unfinished. Our 
words are a draft; they should not be taken as anything more than that.
