After many years, the center of the city of Vitória, Espírito Santo, saw
the black and red flags of anarchism wave again. The comrades of the
Espírito Santo Anarchist Federation (FACA) were grouped together and
other comrades, including those from other cities, also arrived at the
meeting point to begin the demonstration. ---- The subversive energy was
already echoing from the concentration of the march, where workers from
different productive sectors were present, wielding drums, shouting and
flags against the oppressive system in which we live.
The march took the direction of the city center and, with irreverence
and courage, we made it clear that the streets belong to the productive
class who, also in memory of the martyrs of Chicago and so many others
who fell in the emancipatory struggles, voiced their desire for a social
order libertarian, free from the constraints of the State and Capital.
Right after the march, we witnessed an excellent anarchist theater play,
performed right there on the street, which was attended by people and,
above all, children - a unique opportunity to spread the libertarian
idea and culture.
It was already night when debates began about alternative economies,
anti-capitalist, self-management and horizontal practices, a moment in
which we taught and learned about the society we so desire and fought to
build, also highlighting our federalist articulation with the Brazilian
Federalist Anarchist Initiative (IFA). BR) and the International of
Anarchist Federations (IFA).
A May Day of mourning and struggle, diverse, fruitful and which the
Espírito Santo Anarchist Federation hopes will be repeated for many
years, spreading every day more the combative spirit among the oppressed
and exploited.
