(en) Greece, APO: March 8th - day of resistance and struggle (ca, de, it, pt, tr)[machine translation]

"With stones in hands in GAZA, rebel natives in TSIAPAS, dancing on the
barricades of IRAN, tearing down the walls of prisons and concentration
camps, crossing borders with a baby in the arms, breaking the silence
against the state mafia of trafficking, in the demonstrations against
the police army of occupation, in the class struggles, in the occupation
of schools and schools, spitting in the face of priests, fascists,
bosses, judges, politicians, the system that gives birth to and covers
up rapes and femicides, that wants our bodies as reproduction machines
and commodities, and our lives a prisoner of the Power."
Despite the attempts of the rulers to give meaning to the competitive
and political character of March 8 and to distort the cause of women's
emancipation by presenting it as a demand for "equality" in the
management of power, March 8 is a day of commemoration of bloody women's
struggles, strikes and mobilizations of the most brutally exploited
segment of society, the immigrant women workers, who burst into the US
textile industry in the early 20th century. It is a day of struggle and
resistance to today, in a period when patriarchal violence against
women, especially the plebeian strata, is sharpened and manifested
against them and on their bodies in even more savage terms, as an
integral part of modern totalitarianism.
Because gender-based violence is systemic violence and is an integral
part of state and capitalist brutality. Of the system that leads the
great social majority to violent impoverishment, that consolidates with
laws the class divisions in the basic goods of health, education,
housing, that murders on the land borders of Europe - fortress and in
the concentration camps refugees/equals and immigrants/ three, which
promotes gender-based violence and covers up trafficking rings, which
washes away rapists and pedophiles, which legitimizes police brutality
against our bodies and allows judges to turn female victims of
gender-based violence into abusers with their decisions. Of a system
that constantly breeds wars and condemns to the uprooting and death of
millions of people and that the only thing it can promise is death,
displacement, violence and impoverishment.
Because it is the state agencies themselves that reproduce gender
oppression and exploitation every day. On the one hand, the perpetrators
are nurtured, encouraged, armed and finally washed away by the state
mechanisms of a class and patriarchal "justice" that punishes and
imprisons those who resist state-capitalist brutality, condemns and
imprisons thousands of the poor and marginalized, while at the same time
protecting the powerful. From the cases of rape and child rape that come
to light and, in many cases, result in victims finding the courage to
denounce the perpetrators, being challenged and vilified, inside and
outside the courtrooms. From the femicides that tend to become a daily
occurrence, with the perpetrators often being from the close environment
of the victims and many of whom have reported previous incidents of
violence against them to the authorities, to the trafficking rings
against women and girls that demonstrate the role of organized crime -
mafias and their connection with state actors and that in the attempt to
cover them up from the state mechanisms the victims are faced with
attempts at intimidation, threats of violence and terrorism so that they
remain silent, with typical examples being the case of the 12-year-old
girl from Kolonos but and the case of the 19-year-old from Ilioupoli.
While, at the same time, those who resist, on the street, inside and
outside the courtrooms, in the occupations of the anarchist movement
have to face state repression and the sexist violence of the security
forces.
The class dimension of gender violence, the institutional management of
such incidents and gender divisions is a key component of the imposition
of sovereignty over the body of the plebeian strata. From the threats
and inequalities in the workplace, which are often not reported for fear
of dismissal, from the sexual harassment and abuse in the police
stations and blocks, with the most recent example of the sexual
harassment of a 20-year-old woman by police officers in the Traffic
Police, are it is clear that the more class-vulnerable a woman or a girl
is, the more difficult it is to confront the institutions that protect
the patriarchal structure of society and, by extension, arm the hands of
rapists, abusers and murderers.
At the same time, when these things are happening in the Greek area, the
attack of the state-capitalist, patriarchal system against women is
increasingly intensifying, on a global level. The women of Palestine are
not only experiencing the genocide of their people by the state of
Israel, but, in addition, many of them receive, from the Israeli army,
threats of sexual violence, multiple forms of sexual assault, while
there are also recorded incidents of rape in their weight but also the
executions, in areas where the occupying army itself has instructed them
to head, for their safety, from southern Gaza to the West Bank. These
inhumane practices, at the expense of women in wartime, are a permanent
tactic and come to function as a means of pressure, humiliation and
suppression of the population.
At the opposite end of power are the struggles of women who fight for a
world of real equality, freedom, emancipation, away from hypocritical
institutional promises. From the rebel Zapatistas in the mountains of
Chiapas, the women who fight in Rojava, the women of the Palestinian
resistance, those who demonstrate and clash with the repressive forces
from the USA to Greece, the students who take to the streets against the
educational restructuring and the circumvention of Article 16, a
resounding message is given that no one will be free until we are all
free, a battle is being waged against a patriarchal system that is built
on gender discrimination and in which women are considered second-class
citizens but also overall against the regime of exploitation and
oppression that the rulers are constantly trying to impose on those below.
As anarchists we stand in solidarity with the women fighters and welcome
their struggles, which are breaking out in every corner of the earth. In
the face of the all-out attack that we receive from the rulers all over
the planet, we put forward the collectivization, the organization of
those from below and the claim of what belongs to us, for the class and
social counter-attack of the exploited until the overthrow of the world
of patriarchy, the state and of capitalism. For the creation of a
society without exploitation and oppression, a society of freedom,
equality and justice. For anarchy and libertarian communism.
We are many - we are not quiet
WE WILL DESTROY THE STATE AND THE PATRIARCHY!
