"help" and seeks shelter is treated by the "peaceful" shopkeepers as an 
object of lynching and brutal violence. The jeweler Dimopoulos and the 
real estate agent Chortarias furiously kick Jacques in the head, while 
he tries helplessly to free himself from the former's store in which he 
had hidden, while a crowd of people surrounds them. The police arrive to 
complete the crime and, beating the bloodied and fallen Jacques on the 
ground, arrest him, handcuff him and drag him into the street. He is 
taken to the hospital bound and dead.
In the person of Jacques, institutionalized and parastatal violence 
exhausts its fury towards those who do not fit into the voracious state, 
capitalist and patriarchal system, towards those who are considered 
surplus populations: the poor devil, the user, the potential thief and 
homosexual, who threatens the class and social hierarchy, the sanctity 
of property and patriarchal "normality", all that the existing system of 
domination seeks to reproduce undisturbed in order to maintain its 
power. The violence that was used against Jacques that afternoon is the 
violence that is used daily against every person excluded from the 
barbaric world of power, against every outcast and denier of the 
dominant treaty of repression and unfreedom, where thieving pawnbrokers 
who feed on the despair of others, declared fascists and uniformed 
scoundrels of the Hellenic Police, coordinated and in complete 
agreement, are entitled to kill brazenly, with the help of the Authority 
of course, and then leave the courtrooms with caressing sentences. The 
completion of ours in the second degree, confirmed once again how the 
various beasts and parastatal lackeys enjoy the favor of the Authority, 
every time they serve its orders.
The murderers of Jacques, and of every Jacques in this society, are none 
other than the fascists, the cops, the judiciary and the media, who from 
the very beginning set out to bury the crime and justify it. They spread 
lies, they built a convenient consensus and presented him as a threat. 
They disgraced his life and his identity as an HIV-positive person, a 
member of the LGBTQI community and an activist. On the same front are 
those who applaud the violence of power, adopting the interests of the 
powerful as their own. Like every year, this year too we are taking to 
the streets again. We are demonstrating because we do not forget that 
the cops who beat Jacques' bloody body while he was in handcuffs, enjoy 
immunity and today they walk free. We are protesting because we do not 
forgive his murderers, Dimopoulos and Hortaria.
Zackie continues to live in every struggle against every form of 
violence, impoverishment and terror that the state, capitalist and 
patriarchal system attempts to legitimize on our bodies and consciences, 
with the aim of perpetuating social cannibalism and further tolerance of 
the impoverishment that it holds for us. The established violence of the 
state and capital is reflected every moment in the concentration camps 
in which refugees and immigrants are imprisoned, in the hundreds of 
people who are murdered on the land and water borders of 
Europe-Fortress, in the cold-blooded executions of the poor, Roma and 
refugees by the uniformed thugs of democracy. They are the incessant 
attacks on the squats, the repression of the anarchist movement and the 
persecution of fighters. It is the bans and the violent dispersal of 
demonstrations, the increasingly suffocating control and the police 
occupation of city centers. It is the attack on the strike and labor 
struggles, on the university asylum and its social character.
As anarchists, we fight for a better world where there will be a place 
for all. We fight for the intensification of social and class 
resistance, so that the political and economic bosses who dominate us 
can be overthrown, as well as every trace of exploitation, oppression, 
poverty and misery that they generate and promote. We remain in
