STATE AND BOSSES KILL WORKERS -- WE DO NOT FORGET   WE DO NOT FORGIVE 
THE EMPLOYEE-RELATED MURDER AT THE VIOLANTA FACTORY ---- The five 
workers who lost their lives in the early hours of January 26th, at the 
"Violanta" factory in Trikala, in the explosion that destroyed the 
facilities where they worked, injuring seven other workers, are neither 
a random event nor an accident, but on the contrary constitute the tip 
of the iceberg of the savage class exploitation imposed in the 
workplace, another prescribed state and capitalist crime.
From the very beginning, state officials and regime media attempted to 
cover up in order to absolve the real perpetrators of the murder: the 
employers who, under the full cover of the institutional authorities, as 
no substantive inspection had preceded, were committing systematic 
violations of safety regulations in the factory area, constructing 
illegal installations and pipelines for the transport of propane, 
without even installing the necessary gas sensors, and were indifferent 
to the repeated notifications of workers who had detected a gas leak 
months before; the region of Thessaly which, despite having identified 
violations since 2020   during the tenure of the notorious for his 
involvement in the institutional cover-up of the state-capitalist crime 
of Tempi and his responsibilities for the devastating flood in Thessaly, 
the former regional governor of Agorastos   issued a permit operation of 
the factory, while a few days before the deadly explosion it issued a 
decision to award its owners a bonus of 2 million euros for the 
expansion of the business; ultimately the state itself, having 
completely devalued and essentially abolished the already understaffed 
control mechanisms, not only turns a blind eye to the employer's 
arbitrariness but also engages, at the same time, in a systematic hunt 
for struggling workers who defend their labor gains, abolishing the 
right to strike and criminalizing union action. A typical example of the 
climate of terrorism that prevails overall in the workplace is the 
employer's prevention of unions from visiting the "Violanta" factory, 
inspecting the premises and working conditions and talking to the 
workers. Also, despite the brazen systematic efforts of the state and 
the bosses to downplay the scale of work accidents and murders   with 
201 having lost their lives and 332 having been seriously injured in 
2025 alone   the murder of the five workers in Violanta highlighted in 
the most horrific way that we, the exploited and the oppressed, continue 
to pay with our blood for the maintenance and reproduction of the 
barbaric exploitative oppressive system.

The far-right neoliberal New Democracy government, following the 
anti-social policies of SYRIZA, passed a series of anti-worker bills, 
exacerbating the already unbearable conditions of exploitation in labor 
camps. The anti-labor Georgiadis bill, which was passed in September 
2023 and introduced in principle the 13-hour workday with employment at 
two employers and the 6-day workday, came to be enshrined and expanded, 
with the passage of the new anti-labor bill, with the false title "Fair 
Work for All", which enshrines the 13-hour and 6-day workday as a 
"managerial right of the employer", turns workers into expendable parts 
in the hands of the bosses, abuses the workers' free time and creates a 
physically and psychologically exhausting condition for the oppressed 
class, to which they are called upon to compromise under fear of 
dismissal or vindictive treatment due to lack of "good faith".

The liberalized working hours, the flexibility of labor relations, 
undeclared and black work, the lack of protection measures in the 
workplace, the abolition of labor inspection, the criminalization of 
union action and strikes, the liberalization of layoffs and the 
gigantization of unemployment are signs of restructuring, which aim to 
exacerbate class inequalities and exclusions and the complete 
devaluation of the work and life of the plebeian strata. Thus, the 
bosses, emboldened, under the full cover of state institutions, taking 
advantage of the multitude of anti-labor measures of recent years, 
proceed to further intensify exploitation, making working hours more 
flexible and systematically violating safety conditions in the workplace 
  as any control mechanisms have been discredited and abolished in 
practice   turning labor camps into death traps.

In these circumstances, it is imperative to radicalize, expand and 
connect the resistances of workers who, through their own forces, fight 
for their lives and dignity against employer unconscionability and state 
terrorism. The defense of workers' interests, needs, lives and dignity 
goes through joint, horizontally coordinated, organized action from 
below. The organization of our resistances is a key issue, especially in 
a period of total and organized attack by the state and capitalist 
system. Collectivization, joint action and common understanding based on 
anarchist values are our tools against the modern totalitarianism of the 
state and capital, against their attempt to convince us that the end of 
History has come, that there is no perspective beyond the dystopian 
present and the system of power that creates it and that if we choose 
the path of struggle and dignity we will be crushed. In every open front 
of the social and class struggle, where the aggression of the state and 
capital is manifested, we propose the radicalization of the struggles 
through their connection with the universal social vision of social and 
class emancipation, that is, the organization of the struggle for social 
revolution, Anarchy and Libertarian Communism as the only realistic way 
out that the oppressed of this world have.
