The Voice of the Revolution · FBC, Pepito, Coyote Beatz, Jackson Ganga,
DJ Cost ---- May 1st was born from the concrete struggle of the working
class for the reduction of the workday. It was in the streets, in
strikes, and facing repression that workers won basic rights. Today,
more than a century later, we continue to face a new offensive against
these rights.
In recent years, one of the most precarious categories, delivery
workers, has been leading important mobilizations, organizing strikes
and denouncing the conditions imposed by the platforms. These struggles
have brought back to the center the need for collective organization in
the face of new forms of exploitation.
At the same time, we are following the strike of technicians from
federal universities and institutes to express their defense of public
services and their opposition to the precariousness of state work,
aggravated by years of dismantling and the permanent threat of
administrative reforms that remove rights and weaken public service.
The fight against the 6x1 work schedule is also gaining strength,
questioning a model that sacrifices life in the name of the boss's
profit. Reducing the workday remains a current and urgent issue.
As specificist anarchists, we believe that no rights will be given on a
silver platter; only through popular power and organization will we be
able to advance in this direction. Therefore, the day after the May Day
demonstrations, we invite everyone to a round table discussion with
workers from different categories to reflect on the struggles and new
possibilities for organizing the working class.
