Following our national conference in March of 2026, we are pleased to 
announce the official launch of the Anarchist Communist Federation - 
Sydney Branch. ---- This is the first new branch to be formed and 
incorporated since the Federation's launch in 2025, and we are excited 
at the chance to join ranks with a developed, dedicated corps of 
anarchists and to help bring organised anarchism to Sydney's streets and 
workplaces. We already have members across a wide range of industries 
and unions, including retail, transportation, sciences, education, law 
and services. Members have also already achieved inspirational wins in 
their union organising, including for vital safety equipment on 
worksites. We are committed to educating ourselves and our allies about 
more effective organising as our branch develops and grows.

Some exerpts from our submission to the national conference:

'We have been hard at work educating ourselves and reconstituting a 
healthy and vibrant culture of anarchist communist political activity, 
and we are proud to say that we have made great progress. With your 
support, Sydney will soon have its own thriving branch of the ACF, and 
we are excited to contribute in our own way to the development of a 
revolutionary workers movement on this continent.'

'Moving forward, we are focused on the continual growth of the branch as 
we better establish ourselves in Sydney. While Sydney does have a vast 
and vibrant network of anarchists, there has not been a functional 
specific anarchist organisation active in the city for some time. 
Already we have people with a mix of backgrounds and experience in 
industrial, activist, and student struggle.'

'With our public presence, our workplace organising and our political 
education work, and in collaboration with[local anarchists and friendly 
organisations], the ACF Sydney branch will rebuild the libertarian 
socialist tendency in our city. The red and black flag is being raised 
in the streets of Sydney by a developed, dedicated, and ever-improving 
group of militant anarchist communists. We are eager to join you in 
struggle, comrades, and win a better world for working people everywhere.'
