TURKEY: HUMAN RIGHTS PRIZE TO OSSI

Headquartes of Human Rights Association (IHD) awards Human Rights Prize on every December 10, the day of human rights. Last year the prize was awarded to the independent civil delegation which went to Kurdistan in order to take the Turkish Army soldiers who were kept by PKK. This year the prize is awarded on two topics: Feedom of thought and the right of organization. For the right of organization Bergama villagers who are involved in nonviolent resistance against Eurogold company and TIP-SET workers who struggle against privatisation are awarded. And the prize of freedom of thought is awarded to Ossi. Vedat Zencir took the prize in name of Ossi on December 10. We will bring the prize to Ossi on December 18 when his next session will be held in the Military Court of Eskisehir.
