On November 24, Indonesian President Suharto plans to enter Canada for APEC meetings in Vancouver.

On November 12, the sixth anniversary of the Dili Massacre in East Timor, we're putting him on trial in Ottawa.

SUHARTO ON TRIAL FOR GENOCIDE IN EAST TIMOR AND MASS MURDER IN INDONESIA

CHARGE: Crimes against humanity and war crimes as defined by Canadian Criminal Code Section 7(3.71-3.76).

WITNESSES: Ten exiled East Timorese will tesitfy about the genocide, killings, rape and torture they've witnessed in Indonesian-occupied East Timor. Many are survivors of the November 12, 1991 Dili Massacre, when Indonesian troops shot and killed over 270 unarmed civilians. Two Indonesian activists will testify about mass murder and ongoing oppression in Indonesia.

EVIDENCE: A photo exhibit will document crimes against humanity Indonesian - occupied East Timor over the last 22 years.

JUDGES INCLUDE: Bob White, President of the Canadian Labour Congress; Joan Grant-Cummings, President of the National Action Committee on the Status of Women; Maude Barlow, National Chairperson of the Council of Canadians and Marion Dewar, former Mayor of Ottawa.
