Auf der Bundeskoordinierungskonferenz in Paris am 1. und 2. November
2025 präzisierte UCL ihr Verständnis des Begriffs "atheistische
Organisation", den sie in ihrem Manifest verwendet. Sie verabschiedete
folgende Interpretation: Die UCL ist eine atheistische Organisation mit
säkularer Ausrichtung. Das bedeutet, dass sie sich nicht um die
religiösen Überzeugungen ihrer Mitglieder kümmert. Daher ist Atheismus
für die UCL keine Voraussetzung für eine Mitgliedschaft oder die
Teilnahme an ihren Aktivitäten. Ihr politischer Diskurs ist
materialistisch und atheistisch, das heißt, sie geht von einer Welt ohne
Götter aus. Die Mitglieder der UCL akzeptieren und vertreten den
gesamten Diskurs der Organisation im Rahmen ihrer Satzung.
