bourgeois-reactionary ideologies. We will use a film to examine the
privatization of state-owned enterprises by the Treuhandgesellschaft
(Treuhand Company), the financial hemorrhaging of the "new federal
states," and the economic, structural, and social differences between
East and West that persist to this day.
Of course, this doesn't imply that there could be a "fairer" form of
privatization, but examining it helps us understand why things are the
way they are and why the border between the GDR and the FRG persists to
this day.
At the end of the day, the GDR didn't mean the emancipation of people,
but rather authoritarian state capitalism with a red coating.
Therefore, it remains the case: If socialism, then only without states!
