parallel resistance that is manifested in the West Bank with ongoing 
strikes and clashes with the police and the occupation army, also 
highlights the strength of those fighting against their occupier.

Every crime committed by the state of Israel bears the signature of the 
entire Western power bloc that has ensured it unconditional diplomatic 
and subsequent military support, making it the stronghold and the 
"outpost" of the Western war machine in the Middle East and functioning 
as the means of promoting Western political and economic interests in 
the region. The Greek state, in particular, consistently chooses to be 
on the same side as the murderers of the apartheid regime, which is 
reflected in the memorandums of cooperation between the Armed Forces and 
the IDF that are signed every year, and which provide for joint military 
exercises, joint training and "knowledge exchange", aiming to "maintain 
stability" in the eastern Mediterranean, as well as in the tripartite 
agreement between Greece - Cyprus - Israel concerning the energy sector. 
Of course, Greek universities could not fail to get a share of the pie 
of the cooperation between the two states. The most typical example is 
the Israeli company Intracom Defence (IDE) which collaborates either 
directly or indirectly through research programs with, among others, the 
National University of Athens, the National Technical University of 
Athens and the Athens University of Economics. This company belongs to 
Israel Aerospace Industry, one of the main state-owned companies of the 
Israeli arms industry. But when Greek universities are not funding the 
bloodshed in Gaza, they are using the know-how they have acquired to 
fuel the war that the Greek state and the European Union have declared 
on migrants. Programs such as OCEAN 2022 (in collaboration with IDE), 
ANDROMEDA 2020 (in collaboration with the Israeli Ministry of Public 
Security), RANGER and a host of others aim to impose maritime power, 
monitor sea and land borders and locate small boats in the Aegean.

With the new phase of the genocide entering its third year, the attack 
on those who have sided with the Palestinian side by the Western power 
bloc has intensified to unprecedented levels. The Trump administration 
of the American state is attempting a repressive offensive on the 
country's universities, arresting both students and academics who either 
participated in last year's student occupations or simply spoke out 
publicly against the genocide and attempting to deport them by canceling 
their legal documents, at the same time as it is drafting a plan for a 
phony "peace" that ensures the continuation of the occupation and 
enslavement of the Palestinian people.
At the same time, in European states that still maintain humanitarian 
pretexts with lukewarm announcements calling for peace, solidarity 
demonstrations are being broken up, Palestinian symbols are banned as 
anti-Semitic and activists are being arrested and imprisoned, while 
interstate relations and agreements still remain in full force. Within 
this framework, the arrest of the anarchist student Z.M., who was 
arrested outside his home after an intervention at the National 
Technical University of Athens against the institution's cooperation 
with Israeli funds and the war industry, and is being tried on 31/10

In the face of the magnitude of the crime that has been taking place for 
years, we will not become complicit. We will fight until all cooperation 
between our universities and the Israeli state is interrupted, until the 
research and knowledge produced by research institutions will benefit 
society alone. This struggle must not, however, take on purely trade 
union characteristics, nor be isolated - it must be the first drop of a 
wave of solidarity towards the struggling people of Palestine that will 
prove that there can be no peace without justice, that solidarity is in 
truth the weapon of the peoples and that in order to truly prevent the 
participation of the Greek state in the genocide, in order to stop the 
genocide and in order to truly liberate Palestine, another war is 
required. A class, social and anti-state war.
