Motion adopted at the 83rd Congress of the Anarchist Federation, held in
Chirols on June 7, 8, and 9, 2025. ---- Bullfighting, like hunting with
hounds, are two practices from another age, initiated by the nobility of
different countries. They are still presented as leisure activities,
spectacles by their defenders. Often protected by states, bullfighting,
like hunting with hounds, persists. ---- No leisure activity, no
spectacle can be called such when it involves the killing of an animal
after terrible suffering. Animals are sentient beings.
No argument can justify, either culturally or traditionally, the
continuation of this barbarity. These two cruel practices involve the
killing of animals that have done nothing to harm them.
The Anarchist Federation condemns and demands the cessation of
bullfighting and hunting with hounds.
