Formalized on Friday, August 8, the Israeli army's plan for the takeover 
and total occupation of the Gaza Strip has been in place since August 
20. This ground offensive is a new step in the genocidal process 
implemented by Israel. It is taking place in an area already ravaged by 
famine organized by the Zionist state, and follows the systematic 
assassination of journalists likely to document the horror. In the face 
of the carnage and the announced deadly escalation, international 
solidarity must not waver.
From the first day of the genocide, the fascist Israeli government had 
warned of its intention to take control of the Gaza Strip. Today, the 
Palestinian population is already concentrated in 12% of the Gaza Strip, 
in inhumane living conditions. The Israeli army is preparing for ethnic 
cleansing and the conquest of this portion of territory, and is 
recalling 60,000 reservists for this purpose. Every day, dozens, if not 
hundreds, of people are murdered by Israeli army bombs and bullets, or 
in shootings during food aid distributions that are in reality gruesome 
traps. At the same time, Israel continues to prevent or limit all food 
and humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza, causing a famine finally 
officially recognized by the IPC on Friday, August 22.

In the West Bank, Settlements Minister Smotrich formalized the 
implementation of the "E1" settlement construction plan, modeled on the 
plan launched in the 1990s by Yitzhak Rabin. This plan to build 3,400 
housing units aims to divide the West Bank in two, making it impossible 
to establish viable Palestinian sovereignty over the territory: it is, 
in Smotrich's words, a matter of "burying the idea of a Palestinian 
state." In Israeli prisons, torture continues to be practiced en masse 
against Palestinians, imprisoned in a state of complete arbitrariness.

Zionists, both within Israel and internationally, wallow in Holocaust 
denial and the apology for crimes against humanity. Media figures who 
profess "liberalism" and opposition to "extremes" have lifted their 
hypocritical masks, from Caroline Fourest, who claims there is no famine 
in Gaza, to Raphaël Enthoven, Géraldine Woessner, and Emile Ackermann, 
who claim that Gazan journalists do not exist to justify their 
assassination by Israel.

European states, for their part, barely conceal their complicity behind 
hypocritical "condemnations." France announces the recognition of a 
puppet "demilitarized Palestinian state," but without attaching any 
sanctions against Israel, which would make its establishment impossible. 
Great Britain "threatens" to resort to this empty and symbolic measure 
if Israel does not cease its genocide. Germany, Israel's second-largest 
arms supplier, has announced an embargo on weapons likely to be used by 
Israel in Gaza, but without suspending the export licenses currently 
granted by Germany to Israel. These same states are carrying out 
monstrous repression against activists in solidarity with Palestine: 
Great Britain classifies our comrades at Palestine Action as 
"terrorists," while in France, the Interior Ministry has attempted a 
pathetic procedure to dissolve Urgence Palestine.

Israel will only stop when it is stopped. And there is nothing to be 
expected from the imperialist states for that. The key lies in our 
solidarity. The Libertarian Communist Union calls for strengthening 
material aid initiatives for the people of Gaza, notably "Our Food from 
Our Hands" and "Gaza Resilience," to best meet the urgent humanitarian 
needs of the Palestinian population. The "Waves of Freedom" initiative, 
which we also support, aims to increase the number of flotillas and 
marches to break the blockade of Gaza.

Because the issue is not primarily humanitarian: it is political. To 
meet the basic needs of the Palestinian population, the Zionist death 
machine must be stripped of its means of causing harm. Israel must no 
longer have the means to bomb and mass murder the Palestinian 
population, nor to prevent humanitarian aid from entering. Our role, as 
a state complicit in the ongoing genocide, is to fight against all 
aspects of this complicity, and first and foremost against the French 
government and the companies that are helping to make the genocide 
possible. Let's continue to strengthen the Stop Arming Israel and BDS 
campaigns, and participate in all demonstrations and initiatives aimed 
at ending the carnage!

In the face of imperialist wars against the people, organization and 
solidarity are our only weapons.  Down with Zionism, down with French 
imperialism, complicit in genocide!
