Reading group with the Tierbefreiung Dresden collective. ---- "Who or
what are we? Left, left-wing radical, autonomous, anarchist,
libertarian, left-wing extremist, militant, anti-authoritarian? And
which of these are we not, for good reasons? Who actually defines who or
what is radical? And why is this designation important? And what does it
actually mean to be radical? What does it not mean? And why do we like
being radical?" In our reading group, we would like to read with you
some excerpts from the book "Radicalize yourselves! Contributions to
radical theory and practice," published in October 2023, and then engage
in discussion. It will address, among other things, the state's fight
against radicals, (pseudo-)radicalism, and the question of how we can
remain radical. "A world as badly set up as ours requires radical
critique and practice for a completely different whole; anything else
would be rubbish."
Hybrid event: This reading group will take place in the Zentralwerk /
seminar room. If you would like to participate online, please register
by email at tierbefreiung_dd[at]riseup.net. We will then send you the
text as a PDF and the dial-in details for the conference room. We want
to meet in an atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable. We will not
