historical position of the PLO before 1988) for a single secular and 
democratic state. "We are not extremists. If Fatah succeeds in obtaining 
a Palestinian state on the 22% of historic Palestine occupied since 
1967, we will accept it as a transitional step. He then opens the window 
of Bethlehem town hall in a very theatrical manner. There used to be a

Some in the solidarity movement for the rights of the Palestinian people 
dream of an "Algerian-style" situation, that is to say the departure of
