country in number of millionaires. The richest billionaire in the world 
is French (Bernard Arnault, of LVMH) and the richest is also French 
(Françoise Bettencourt, of L'Oréal). In 2003, shareholders of CAC 40 
companies received 21 billion in dividends; in 2023 it was 97 billion!

money to bosses without control or compensation, to which must be added

Associations and NGOs such as Attac, Oxfam, Ecological and Social 
Alliance, Emmaüs Foundation, etc. regularly reveal the growing scale of 
the gap between rich and poor and propose various taxes on the

they are insufficient to win. The left-wing parties cite these figures 
in their electoral programs... But once in power, they are condemned to

votes in Parliament belie their so-called social concerns.

Strengthen the ranks and combativeness
It is therefore on our own strengths as employees that we must rely on 
to win and really make the bosses pay. On our unions whose ranks and 
combativeness must be strengthened. On the strike which alone paralyzes 
the capitalist system and opens a balance of power allowing us to win.

This will allow us to ask the fundamental question: that of capitalist 
ownership of the means of production and exchange. Who own? So who 
decides our future? Who shapes the economy and society for their own 
benefit? As long as we have not radically called into question 
capitalist ownership of the means of production and exchange, we will 
not advance one iota.
