It was 10 years of a lot of struggle and organization! We worked
throughout this period in the Portelinha Community - Curitiba and in
some periods in Vila Torres, Campo Comprido and Almirante Tamandaré.
---- We went through very important moments in our history. Very
important tragedies and losses: deaths of activists and people close to
them, fires, police violence, floods, pandemic and more. And we also had
many moments of joy and celebration: countless parties and events,
construction and use of community spaces (such as our Headquarters),
development of social work, collective efforts, the creation and
strengthening of bonds between people and more.
It has been 10 years of autonomous and grassroots organization. Many
mistakes and successes. We develop different social work - Ciranda,
sewing and crafts cooperative, tutoring, study groups with young people
and adults, literacy, pre-university course, community garden, boxing
and muay thai classes and others! And also, throughout the period, we
were together in the fight for land regularization, housing and a
dignified life.
We appreciate the support and participation of all the people who
contributed to the struggles and our movement - in the various
fundraising campaigns, community events, social work and more. Each
person's contribution was very important!
And the fight and organization will continue! We are finishing the
renovation of our Headquarters, in Comunidade Portelinha, and we will
soon reopen! Always remembering those warriors who are gone, let's
continue our fight and our social work!
