We will talk about Lebanon with Rossana Tufaro, an expert in the 
contemporary history of Arab countries and a deep knowledge of the

Western Asia, to which media attention has returned since last October,

before have we been on the brink of a global crisis.
The area of South-West Asia has always had precarious balances 
accentuated by the colonial division of the area between various states, 
by the birth of a strong religious fundamentalism in recent decades and 
by imperialist interests.
The crisis arc sees situations of warring conflicts, of high or low 
intensity, in Palestine, Iran, Lebanon, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Armenia, 
Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey.
We have moved from secular, pan-Arab and pan-Islamic liberation 
struggles to situations of exasperation of nationalism, regionalism and 
religious dogmatism.
The forms of repression of freedoms and nationalist and warmongering 
exasperation practiced in the states of the area are similar to those 
pursued in Europe by the fascist, sovereignist and warmongering right.
It is precisely for this reason that we have decided to organize, in our 
headquarters in via Vettor Fausto 3, in Garbatella, a series of debates 
that can help us better understand, by analyzing and reflecting 
collectively, the dynamics that animate these conflicts. A key to 
understanding situations that takes into account the complex aspects 
that concern them. With the hope of identifying libertarian paths of 
social emancipation.
We thought about inviting comrades who live, or have lived, in those 
countries that study these dynamics or who are engaged in struggles for 
solidarity with the populations.
