(en) Greece, Athens, APO, land & freedom: General strike 28/2 - Organization and struggle against anti-social state and capitalist restructurings (ca, de, it, pt, tr)[machine translation]

Restructurings of exclusion, subjugation and repression ---- In the midst of a deep overall systemic crisis, the state capitalist system accelerates restructurings that target every manifestation of social life, devaluing basic social needs, work, health, education, housing, transportation. The state, faithful to the neoliberal model followed since the years of the memorandum in the Greek area, continues to intensify social and class exclusions and to increase the cost of living at even more intensive rates, while uninsured and precarious work, flexible hours, intensification of work, privatization and management by the bosses of all our basic needs are signs that respond to capitalism's need to exacerbate class inequality and completely devalue our lives. This is exactly what will always remind us in the worst way, the unspeakable tragedy in Tempe 1 year ago with the murder of 57 people. This crime that happened in Tempe was a premeditated murder with the Greek state and private capital to blame. With the sell-off of TRAINOSE to Italian investors (under SYRIZA) and the return of decommissioned trains to Switzerland, the government's ditherings about upgrading the railways followed. The upgrade they advertised included: outdated or non-existent maintenance and control systems and an understaffed workforce. And while the workers themselves had warned the authorities through press releases and out-of-court hearings and had carried out successive mobilizations and strikes (which were deemed illegal and abusive by the civil justice), for the improvement of the network and for additional recruitments, things remained as they had So, this is what the "upgrade" in privatization means: To play with the lives of passengers and crown workers, since no money is going to be given for control, prevention and people's safety. So when our lives are counted as another expense in the budget of the state and capital, we are talking about prescribed murders - neither accidents, nor "human errors", nor "bad timing". The criminals of the Ministry of Transport, the management of Hellenic Train and the entire state apparatus that contributed to this murder will be held to account with the entire social base, the organized movement and its resistances.
The further looting of the social base is done by the giantization of precision in basic goods of everyday life, while at the same time the meager wages and daily wages are not enough to cover the cost of living, leading the great social majority to the risk of destitution. The increases in the prices of products in supermarkets, which make the coverage of absolutely necessary needs, such as food, with a typical example that of baby milk and olive oil, a bet, are the result of the intensified attack of the bosses with the aim of constantly maximizing their profits in weight of the plebeians. At the same time, both the cost of commuting due to the increase in fuel prices and heating, as a result of the criminal and extortionate policy of the energy cartel, is increasing.
To this condition of obsolescence of basic needs is added the housing issue, with the exorbitant amounts of rent and the auctions of first homes by funds and servicers, which result in either people spending most of their salary to rent a home or to be thrown on the street. The shattered health landscape, with the dissolution and privatization of the NHS, the mergers and closures of hospital units, addiction facilities, primary health facilities and children's hospitals, the postponement of planned surgeries and treatments, increases in drug prices and commercialization of health services which opens the door to all kinds of profiteers, comes to further exacerbate social and class exclusions, leaving out those who cannot respond financially, with immediate risk to their health. At the same time, the new law on "Free Universities" introduced by the government of ND comes to seal the absolute commercialization of education, since the recognition of private institutions - even as branches of supposedly large institutions abroad, in the main body of the education provided validates the privatization of yet another public good. The essence of the overall anti-social restructurings, which is on the one hand the continuous increase in the rates of violence by the state and the bosses at the expense of the social and class base, and on the other hand the crushing of collective resistances, the intimidation and the discipline of society, is thus highlighted more clearly. for the unhindered advance of state and capitalist brutality.

From the attempted privatization of public health and first home auctions, to squatter evictions, state repression and killings by cops, the state's anti-social agenda that aims to completely plunder the lives of the vast social majority at the altar of power, of control and profit of political and financial bosses.
Against state and capitalist restructurings of exclusions, subjugation and repression, the devaluation of our lives, impoverishment and oppression, against states and bosses that oppress our lives to intensify social and class struggles. Let us all stand together on the road and struggles of social resistance and class solidarity. To fight collectively and from below against our oppressors, to strengthen and guard the social and class resistances that are the target of repression and to organize new ones.
Without having any illusions about the role of institutions, without offering any consent in the management of our lives, without taking a single step back from what we have conquered and which are constantly at stake and making the spaces where we work, study and live centers of resistance and match. The only prospect for a society of equality, solidarity and freedom, without exploitation and oppression, lies in our own hands, in the struggle for social and class emancipation.
The SOCIAL REVOLUTION.
