FRIDAY: WELCOME CENTER

There will be a temporary welcome center for people attending the bookfair
from out-of-town. If you want more info about the bookfair, or help
getting around Montreal, just visit the Welcome Center on FRIDAY, between
5pm-10pm. The welcome center will be at the DIRA Anarchist Library,
located at 2035, St-Laurent Boulevard (3rd Floor, near metro St-Laurent;
tel: 514-843-2018).

FRIDAY: LIVING THEATRE
:::::::::::::::::::::::

The Bookfair collective is pleased to announce that the 6th Annual
Anarchist Bookfair will be opened on Friday, May 20 by a performance by
the Living Theatre (performance to take place at 8:30pm at "La place a
cote", 4571 rue Papineau, in Montreal). Founded in 1947 as an imaginative
alternative to the commercial theater by Judith Malina, the LIVING THEATRE
has staged more than 80 productions performed in eight languages in 25
countries on four continents - a unique body of work that has influenced
theater the world over. The Living Theatre will also present a film on the
evening of Saturday, May 21, after the Bookfair. More info about the

SATURDAY: BOOKFAIR!

This is the big day; some highlights:

* Booksellers, Distributors and Vendors: The heart of the bookfair is the
main auditorium on May 21, 2005, which will include booksellers,
distributors, independent presses and political groups from all over
Montreal, Quebec and North America, and abroad. This year we will have a
record number of distributors present at the bookfair, including the
best-ever selection of French publications since the bookfair began. A

* Film Festival (Room 202): A variety of feature length and short films,
including the Canadian Premiere of Anarchism Revisited. Full program at:

* Art Exhibits: The Bookfair is showing diverse works by artists from
Montreal and elsewhere, focusing on issues close to anarchists and
exploring themes of autonomy. The works can be found in the hallways of
the first, second and third floors and on the stage in the Main Hall.
