Come and be a part of forming a new collective
focusing on grassroots labor organizing in Los
Angeles. Some of the ideas for the collective are:
-Support local labor struggles and create
relationships with workers organizations in LA
-Study how anarchists (and others) have organized at
work in the past/ present.
-Work with workers who are typically ignored by
organized labor, ie: domestic workers (Nannies and
House Maids), Immigrants, Day Laborers, and the
unemployed.
-Provide trainings on workplace organizing
-Create A Team (SCAF Strike Support) to walk picket
lines and support labor actions.
-Begin using more militant tactics to support labor
struggles.
-Challenge sexism, racism, and homophobia within the
labor movement.
This is just the beginning, bring your own ideas and
experiences. We are building something new and invite
anyone who is interested in building a radical,
grassroots movement of workers to come and
participate.
