On 9th of November, in Istanbul University Political Sciences Faculty
conference hall, a panel titled "Gender and Militarism" was held by
Anarchist Communists from Istanbul University and Lambdaistanbul. About
50 people attended to the panel in which writer and activist Nazmiye Güclü,
Özgür Azad from Lambdaistanbul, Yesim Basaran from Amargi Woman Solidarity
Cooperative and Ugur Yorulmaz from Istanbul Antimilitarist Initiative has
attended as speakers. After the first one hour which was assigned to the
presentations, in the second part of the meeting subjects like homosexuality,
homophobia, disabledphobia, patriarchy, militarism and connections
among these were discussed with participation of the audience.
