Seeds of Change in Worker Organizing An Anarchist View of Today’s
Labor Movement The November Anarchist Forum
On Tuesday, November 9, at 7:30pm, the Libertarian Book Club’s
Anarchist Forum will present a panel, co-sponsored and led by members of
the Workers Solidarity Alliance (WSA), a national anarchist organization
supportive of trade unions, discussing Seeds of Change in Worker
Organizing,An Anarchist View of Today’s Labor Movement. The panel includes
workers involved in various organizing efforts independent of the
traditional trade union structure, such as the Starbucks Workers Campaign
and community-based workers centers. There will also be a report on the
recent Million Worker March in DC. The WSA members will put forward an
analysis of the current state of the labor movement in the U.S. and the
ways they believe it should be radically transformed. After the panel
presents there will be an open Q&A session.
The event will take place at the Brecht Forum on the 10th floor of 122 West
27th St.[between 6th and 7th Aves.], a short walk from the 28th St. 1, 2,
N, and R stops, the 34th St. B, D, and Q stop, and the 23rd St. F and V
stop.
There is no set fee for the presentation, but a contribution to
