Hey Folks, As most of us know the Republican National Convention, which will be
held this year in New York City, is rapidly approaching.  It will be a
week of actions -- large marches and smaller events...  While there are already
Philly people talking about the RNC and organizing buses to go to New
York for the main 8/29 UFPJ march, so far there has been little
discussion of direct action and the role we can play to support the
organizing in New York.  Philadelphia can play a vital role in the
anti-RNC organizing due to our close proximity to NYC.  Therefore it is
time for us to start planning!

This Thursday (7/15) at 7:30 at the A-Space we will be having our first
Philly RNC Direct Action meeting.  Please disseminate.  Below is a
preliminary agenda, feel free to add to it.

1) Intros
2) How we want to organize in Philly/ support role for NYC organizing
3) Fliers/outreach
4) Plan for consistent representation at NYC spokes councils (every
Tuesday night)
5) Relationship with the other folks in Philly doing RNC organizing
(NION, ANSWER, etc.)
6) DA plan for Philly folks/ affinity groups?
7) Fundraising ideas (travel, materials, legal & medical)
