New Stories
1) Sexism in the Anarchist Movement
This article is an attempt to add to the discourse that is (or should
be) occurring around sexism within the very movements that purport to be
fighting it. It was a hard process to distinguish between sexism within
the anarchist movement and the general sexism within society because so
many of the criticisms that can be leveled against the anarchist
movement are criticisms of the greater society. There is a void where
critical anarchist feminist/anti-sexist critiques should be which has
lead to a lack of dialogue and concrete action around sexism. This
critique will be based upon many of the weaknesses within the Anarchist
movement, which are often compounded around issues of sexism (and other
forms of oppression). There is a continuum of thought and concrete
action which anarchists must address or take up in order to combat our
own sexism and sexism in the greater society.

2) Ethical purchasing
Consumer July 6, 2004: There's a new breed of consumer in the market. By
boycotting products such as certain brands of banana, "ethical shoppers"
use their purchasing power to change the way companies do business.
Ethical shopping is a small but significant movement. In Britain, it's
worth hundreds of millions of dollars, and possibly even billions, each
year. But does ethical shopping do any more than ease the conscience of
socially concerned Western consumers? The answer, it appears, is yes.
We discover growing evidence that boycotts and fair trade movements are
making a difference.

3) Film: The Corporation Screening Near You
If the corporation were a person, would that person be a psychopath?
That is the central question in the film, which is getting awesome
reviews. Even the Economist (the self proclaimed mouthpiece of
capitalism) gave it the thumbs up saying - "Unlike much of the soggy
thinking peddled by too many anti-globalisers, "The Corporation" is a
surprisingly rational and coherent attack on capitalism's most important
institution."
