The Ontario Liberal Party will be gathering later this summer at a plush
North York mansion for their annual fundraising Barbeque, "Red Hot Grits'.
  Along with their supporters, McGuinty and his Ministers will be basking
in the glow of luxury and stability- giving themselves a big pat on the
back, while fishing for more money to line the Party pocket.
Meanwhile across the Province the minimum wage is well below poverty levels, the
safe streets act is being brutally enforced to jail panhandlers, health care fees
are being implemented and the so-called tenant protection act remains in place.

And while Finance Minister Greg Sorbara, has time to sit on the Organizing
Committee of this gala event, welfare and disability recipients will spend
the summer stinging from another slap in the face: the Liberals have just
announced that the law and order computer system which administers
assistance money implemented by Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting) –
a costly Tory government relic - is incapable of adding on the meager 3%
increase thrown to people in the recent Liberal budget, having been
designed only for cutting people off.  Accenture has already received $500
million from the Government for their incompetence, while McGuinty and
Pupatello claim to have nothing for people on social assistance.

We are demanding a 40% increase to Welfare and Disability rates in Ontario
to replace the brutal Tory cuts and bring social assistance rates up to a
decent standard of living.  We will not allow the Liberal Party to gather
in decadence while people's pockets are kept empty by their lies.  We are
issuing a call to all those McGuinty has kicked in the teeth to help us
make August 28 a day he will wish he'd never marked on his social
calendar.

We will be assembling in Allan Gardens the morning of the barbeque and
will travel together up to the Liberal extravaganza near Bayview and York
Mills.  This sick exercise in Liberal self-congratulation can and should
be ruined.  Come out to McGuinty’s Party on August 28th and make yourself
very unwelcome.
