A-Infos (en) sorry folks, I'm fed up

Hagen and others,
The 2001 border camp will be organized with the participation of people from
Poznan.
To tell the truth, I am very concerned with the fact that there have been a
number of posts to A-Infos concerning the activities of this group which
paint a very incorrect picture of what is going on. Over the past year I
have tried to point out some of the problems of these ideas, usually in some
forum like alter-ee. On the other hand, some people prefer to post things to
a-infos with titles like "Sexism in the Anarchist Movement"  or the recent
posting of the statement from last year which are de-facto charges against
this group.  I have never said that people do not have the right to be
critical of others, but there are some quite serious errors in these posts
and I personally do not appreciate that they are continually posted.

Further, I am beginning to suspect that there is some sort of agenda against
the anarchist movement hidden deeply inside these texts, which in some cases
were penned by people who consider themselves more part of the left. Without
bringing up the whole history of the relation between the autonomist
movement and the anarchist movement, I have to say that I know have very
serious questions as to people's motives. I wonder for example how many
people who have read this a-infos post are now thinking that there is some
quasi-fascist, sexist group in Poznan that they'd better stay clear of.

I can understand that, being some people on the alter-ee list wanted
documentation of this conflict, you would want to send the English
translation to them. But, I haven't been conducting my criticism of these
things on A-infos and I find it a little odd that you would like to spread
the message on to a wider public, one that hasn't been receiving criticism
of the statement and are not really informed on the situation. I do not
intend to send all the criticisms of this statement around the world because
the conflict is write difficult to follow and it has annoyed those who
aren't interested, as we saw when people unsubcribed to alter-ee after I
posted all the old documentation. I think it is quite sad that this post has
gone out, even worse that other people re-posted it and it really does a
great disservice to the good people in Poznan who have been doing such a
good job with organizing anarchist events in that city for many years.

If this Forst preparation group was not convinced that their opinion about
people in Poznan was not fair, and if they still have not changed their
opinion, that's their right and it's fine. I do not use their resources,
mailing lists, etc. to post my opinions about them and I really would
appreciate if they didn't use anarchist resources to continue what basically
amounts to a smear campaign.

I am not satisfied with this "we still don't want to work with Poznan but
since other people are the main organizers, we support your camp" stuff.
Probably the exact same people from last year will be involved this year and
everybody knows it; this is just what people
have to say because they have managed to create such an unfair and total
smear of Poznan that they now have to manipulate people and in essence
create another set of untruths so that they can convince people that the
camp is not being run by right-wing macho pigs, which was essentially the
lie created last year.

I am very sorry to announce then that I will have to suspend any plans I
have to cooperate with certain people/ networks until things are clarified.
I would also like Hagen to forward something positive to a-infos; he has
said much more positive things on alter-ee but it seems like the negative
crap is what gets posted on a-infos.
