The "Carnaval Against ALCA-Capitalism" in Sao Paulo, as part of A20 in =
brazil, was disrupted by the police.
The 1500 demosntrators were attacked by police causing dozens of injured =
and arrested people. Some were hospitalized.=20
That brutality shows so far what democracy means in brazil and in other =
latin america countries.
The demonstrators (almost all students, anarchists and punks) are now =
organizing actions agaisnt the criminalization of their movement and =
against the police brutality.
You can support them writting to the secretary of public security of =
state of Sao Paulo, asking for the release of the people arrested, the =
drop of the charges, and showing your concern about the police violence.
